About Chad R. Goins

Dr. Chad Goins was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Idaho in 1994 with a degree in zoology and American government. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Washington in 1998. Dr. Goins completed his internship at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane in 1999. He returned to Seattle to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington in 2002. After training, Dr. Goins practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in Spokane where he enjoyed a busy medical & surgical practice for six years. After marrying, he and his wife, Sophia, decided to relocate to Hillsboro to raise their family. They now have two children. Dr. Goins has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology at Hillsboro Eye Clinic since 2008. His primary surgical focus is cataract surgery, but he treats a broad spectrum of eye disease and also provides routine family vision care. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Oregon Academy of Ophthalmology.
