About Adam C. AufderHeide
Dr. AufderHeide attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Applied Biology and Biomedical Engineering. He then moved to Houston, Texas where he received a Ph. D. in Bioengineering at Rice University. In 2006, he attended Baylor College of Medicine. After graduating in 2010, Dr. AufderHeide moved to Kansas and completed his residency in ophthalmology at The University of Kansas, KU Eye Center. He then completed a 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at the world renowned Charles Retina Institute in Germantown, Tennessee. Dr. AufderHeide is joined by his wife, Dr. Emily Steinbis, an OB-GYN specialist, and their two children. In his free time, he enjoys hiking with his wife and children, building model ships, and collecting antique cameras and telescopes.
