About Miesha R. Quinones
I’m Miesha Quinones, LMFT (she/her), an African American therapist who’s always had a natural inclination to support others. My journey into therapy started in high school when a class introduced me to the idea of being a counselor, and I knew it was the path for me. Throughout my life, I’ve been the person people come to when they need support, and creating a safe space for others is something that comes naturally. I’m passionate about building strong connections with my clients and ensuring they feel heard and respected. My approach is flexible and attuned to each client’s unique needs, and I’m not afraid to use humor when it’s appropriate to help make the process feel more approachable. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and explore past traumas through an attachment-based perspective to help clients find healing and growth. I specialize in working with individuals and families, particularly young adults and middle-aged adults, addressing issues like Anxiety, ADHD, Attachment, Depression, Crisis Intervention, and Trauma. My goal is to empower clients to discover their resilience and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Outside of therapy, I enjoy creative writing, live music, and poetry. I also love hiking, playing competitive sports, and getting involved in games. These interests keep me grounded and bring joy to my life, helping me stay connected and energized. Areas of Practice: Anxiety; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Crisis Intervention; Dialectic Behavioral Therapy; Group Therapy
