I have been treating individuals, couples, and families for the past 16 years. During this time, I also saw trauma patients at a psychiatry office for work-related physical and psychological issues for one year. I facilitated groups as well as treating people individually.

I was trained and participated in a Palliative Care program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, spending time with patients and helping families cope with the impending loss of their loved ones. Later on, after graduate school, I interned in their Child Development Program, working with mothers and toddlers and giving practical advice on parenting to parents by phone (Warmline Program).

My first internship took place at a Senior Center in Van Nuys, counseling individuals and co-facilitating a group of seniors. My longest internship was at the Valley Community Clinic where I conducted psychotherapy sessions with people who had a wide range of issues and conditions. I also led a group of seniors dealing with aging, illness, and family relationships.

I am a Certified Medical Meditation Consultant. Mindfulness meditation and mindful living techniques are emphasized. I teach Autogenic Training to people who will undergo surgery and then have the possibility of healing up to one week earlier—if they practice the technique before and after surgery.

Over the years, since my licensure as a LMFT, I have attended many marriage seminars and special trainings on anxiety, panic disorder, trauma, and depression. I know that making the first call to me may be the hardest part. This could be the best thing you have ever done for yourself.
