Dr. Chetana Pendkar, MD, FCCP, is a board‑certified Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician at Providence South Sound Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine in Olympia, Washington. Her medical training began at Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center. She went on to complete her Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow, and later pursued advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, gaining expertise in navigational bronchoscopy, EBUS, and robotic bronchoscopy techniques. Dr. Pendkar’s clinical interests include lung cancer, chronic lung disease, airway disorders, and smoking cessation. She focuses on uncovering and treating the root causes of disease, blending evidence‑based medicine with lifestyle‑centered care. Known for her calm, clear, and collaborative communication style, she partners closely with patients—ensuring they feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout their care journey.
