The PA Cynthia Nguyen was not very engaging; lacked the maturity to hold conversation with someone who is slightly older than her. Given that she was doing a full body dermatological exam, it would put patients at ease when completely exposed. When asking questions about sunscreen, recommendations would have been appropriate instead of whatever you want to use is fine. Surely, there are some sunscreens more effective than others as I expressed some sunscreen scents give me headaches. I inquired about the location of a prior skin cancer that had been removed. Almost giggling with a response "it can show up wherever". Disappointed to work with someone who did not come across very professional and most like uncomfortable in this type of exam.

I didn't appreciate her tone in communicating with me. In retrospect, it was very surprising. She came across as condescending bordering on disrespectful. I will not have her again as part of my care team.

I went in for an annual skin check. Although the provider did go over my body looking for anything suspicious, I don't feel like she did a thorough exam, missing a few areas. She did address all of my concerns, and treated one area that I specified.

I usually see Dr. Rosenberg for any dertimology issues, but because he was not available for a more serious issue, I was scheduled with his PA, Cynthia Nuygen. She was excellent and ordered a biopsy of a suspected growth, that turned out to be Squamish cancer. She is excellent. Keep her happy, she's a gem.
