About Khaled M. Hassan
I believe in delivering comprehensive dermatologic care to serve all of my patients' needs. I am specifically trained in all aspects of medical, cosmetic, surgical, and histologic (laboratory) skin care. I have dedicated two years to specifically study the microscopic diagnosis of melanoma and atypical dysplastic nevi, with a focus on how to combine microscopic surgical techniques (traditional Mohs Micrographic Surgery) with advanced laboratory technologies in the treatment of thin melanomas. I also have an academic interest in all forms of hair loss (alopecia) and laser treatments for common and unusual skin disorders.

Dr Hassan did a Mohs surgery on my right cheek for basal cell cancer. He did a delicate right cheek surgery close to my nose . He gave me 2 options as I was concerned about not having a large scar across my cheek. He did a wonderful job explaining how he would do it, and I picked the option that would have scar closer to the nose. He also recommended scar gel called Celacyn which I used 2 months and had good results with it. I am very grateful for the job he did! Thank you!

I saw This doctor for a Moh's procedure. I did have to wait quite some time, initially, in the consultation room because, according to the nurse, all the patients having that procedure that day are prepped, then the doctor moves from room to room freely. It's hard on the patients but I assumed it allows for better productivity and we all know productivity is more important than anything these days. The procedure went very smoothly and I was very impressed with Dr. Hassan. Not just his skill, but also his obvious effort to make me feel comfortable, to send me on my way as soon as possible. I felt seen and heard.

Dr. Hassan cares about the whole person. During my dermatology appointments, we talk about my dermatology questions and concerns. Dr.Hassan takes time to check my skin and goes over my records so that we are keeping track of moles (from past pictures taken) to make sure they are not changing shape or color. Dr. Hassan then asks about my general health and wants to know how I am doing overall. He listens carefully, and he gives sound feedback to questions or concerns that I bring up. Dr. Hassan is an excellent doctor, and I have recommended him to friends.
