The care was great. My initial issue was that I called to make an appointment for a non-routine issue. On My first phone call I was asked to leave a voice message 5 hours later I received a call and was told the first available appointment for an emerging issue was 4 months away. Upon the advise of a friend (who initially referred me to Dr Whitelock, I sent a message with pictures on MyChart. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call the next day and after a couple of attempts was able to coordinate my schedule with Dr's availability. I am grateful that the MyChart communication worked better than the phone-but I still appreciate the personal experience

As always, Dr. Whitelock was very attentive to my needs, explained everything in detail and addressed problems on the spot. I had made the appointment six months in advance so there was no issue. She did a biopsy which came back positive so she referred me to one of her colleagues. That appointment was much more difficult to obtain. It was initially scheduled for early July! Waiting two months following a positive biopsy is torture. Luckily, after begging, I was put on a waiting list and someone cancelled so I saw the doctor in two days. The, again, I begged and I was able to schedule the surgery in a little more than two weeks. I am very impressed and happy with most of my doctors and I am aware of how hard they work. The system needs to be better to allow for more timely access to care.
