Thinh Q. Chau, MD

Dr. Thinh Chau is a dedicated dermatologist whose treatment philosophy combines cutting-edge science with an artistic touch to help each patient achieve the skin they truly love. As a first-generation immigrant raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Chau pursued his undergraduate studies at UC Davis, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Cell Biology and Asian American Studies. Inspired by his volunteer work with UC Davis’s student-run clinics, he went on to obtain his medical degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine. During his time in medical school, Dr. Chau completed an intensive, NIH-funded research year focused on developing therapies for difficult-to-treat itch, laying the foundation for his dermatology residency at Brown University. Dr. Chau brings a compassionate, patient-centered approach to his practice, with a particular interest in advanced therapies for inflammatory skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. As an active member of the Skin of Color Society, he is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in dermatology, advancing care for diverse patient populations. Fluent in both Vietnamese and English, Dr. Chau ensures accessible, personalized care for a wide range of patients. Outside of medicine, Dr. Chau enjoys exploring new cuisines, swimming, playing badminton, and nurturing his collection of indoor plants.
