About Austin D. Longberg
Dr. Austin Longberg is a dermatologist with Mission Heritage Medical Group. He grew up in Rockford, MI outside of Grand Rapids. He studied Pre-Medicine Biology at Indiana Wesleyan University and completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then served his residency at Beaumont Hospital/Michigan State University in Detroit, MI. Dr. Longberg is passionate in all fields of Dermatology but particularly enjoys managing Psoriasis (and the use of biologics), Acne, Rosacea, Melasma and Surgical Dermatology. He believes it is important to be a team with his patients and finding the right treatments for each of them individually. He also enjoys when his patients take an active role in their own health and management of their skin disease.

Dr. Longberg is a very nice and seemingly knowledgeable provider, however he talked a lot and very quickly telling me all the things that my skin condition could be, but never asked me any questions or listened to me describe my symptoms in a way that would leave me with a diagnosis. It was great to hear Dr. Longberg mention that I could try essential oils. I have been using some natural supplements and essential oils for years to build up my immune system. He mentioned tea tree oil... I have been using a skin wash with that... I don't go crazy with them, but I feel that there is a place for those that have been proven to help.
