About Matthew C. McClelland
Dr. Matthew McClelland understands the importance of listening to his patients. "Successful communication in the clinic starts with a physician who takes the time to carefully listen and understand the patient's concerns," he says. "My interaction with patients is what makes me excited to go to work each day." Practicing dermatology appealed to Dr. McClelland because of the wide variety of diseases and age groups he treats. He enjoys getting to know his patients and their families, and treats all his patients with integrity and respect.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Dr. McClelland earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. He completed his internship at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia, and his residency at the University of Minnesota Department of Dermatology in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Married with five children, Dr. McClelland enjoys watching and playing sports, and spending time with his family.

On my initial attempt to make an appointment several months ago the scheduling was out 6 months or so. The last time the schedule was out approximately 1 month. These times seemed rather long, however, I did not believe I had any conditions or problems that required rapid service and was not disturbed, just seemed like the lead time on appoints was quite long. At the appointment everything went extremely well. The doctor and staff were great and I was very satisfied with everything. Left well informed having had a very good experience.

Called in early Nov asking for appt for an issue. First available appt offered was in late December. But Dr McClelland was willing to help me sooner via MY CHART. I appreciated that so much. The Dec appt turned into a follow-up appt where he checked the effectiveness of the treatment he had recommended via MY CHART. Because he is good, I understand that Dr McClelland is naturally very busy. While it is frustrating to not be able to get a timely appt, I understood and appreciated that I was still able to receive timely care!
