About Steven E. Saltman
For me, the beauty of being a physician is being able to truly make a difference in the lives of my patients. Actively participating in the community where I live and work, both as an individual and as a physician, is important to me, and rewarding. There’s a lot of joy in developing a long-term relationship with my patients and seeing them achieve and maintain good health.
During a Fellowship with the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, I served as Public Health Service Officer. Currently, I am the Chief of Staff/Site Director for the subspecialty offices of the St. Jude Heritage Medical Group.

Every visit for the past 33 years has been excellent. In 1992 I came to Dr Saltman for a second opinion for treatment I was receiving for 1 1/2 years from a Brea doctor for low thyroid and high blood pressure. We visited about my concerns for a bit and he said he wanted to do an examination, nurse provided gown, he came back in immediately discovered a lump on my thyroid gland. He was able to do a needle biopsy within a few minutes. Within about 10 days I had my Thyroid Cancer results. Went out to the front scheduled a surgery with neck specialist and had surgery a week later! I am his biggest fan! Actually there are probably dozens of patients who have been on the receiving end of expert healthcare from doctor Saltman. I know of one because she referred me to him in the first place. Very smart, very caring, and very determined to get to the bottom of health issues. He is kind & humble and in this business to help people!
