I know that Dr. Tran is an excellent and highly qualified clinician. However, I have a right to understand what is going on with me and have questions answered and not treated disrespectfully for having valid questions. This is my life and my health. I understand I need treatment for my condition and came in absolutely prepared to resume treatment. Historically I have fully respected, trusted and appreciated Dr. Tran and he seemed to care In the past. However, this visit was disastrous and I left in tears. I would prefer to stay with him and maybe he was just having a bad day, but I need a doctor with some compassion and willing to hear me. Regardless, I remain grateful to Providence and Mission for providing me such wonderful care this past rough 1.5yrs. And, I do believe Dr. Tran is a excellent doctor- just not a fit for me.

The results of the blood test ordered for this current visit were reviewed with me during my office visit with Dr. Tran. Had to beg him to order vitamin D test since I was just diagnosed with osteopenia and have had abnormal D levels in the past. Told him I would pay out of pocket if not covered but I know my insurance covers it. Why did I have to beg? My last endocrinologist ordered this as needed. I will be looking for a new endocrinologist.

I want to explain why I answered some of the questions. Dr. Tran is not my primary care Dr. I go on My Chart for the lab results and have an appt w/i a week after to discuss them. My appt was scheduled at the last appt so there is no problem with that. Dr. Tran came very well respected in his field when I first started going to him many years ago. I have found him to be very easy to talk to about any of my concerns. There have been no bad experiences with Dr. Tran.

Dr. Tran is very thorough, and I feel that he has my health and well-being as a primary focus of my care. I did share with him about his assistant and her excellent support regarding my injection schedule. He suggested I submit the Memorable Moments form to acknowledge her hard work and patient support. Dr. Tran cares about both his patients and his coworkers - such a nice man!

I am so grateful to have Dr. Tran as my doctor. He always reviews my annual lab results with me. And reviews any changes in my health or other medication with me. And I let him know if there have been any health issues or concerns. I have a great deal of confidence in his treatment for me.

I have been treated w great care over the years by Dr. Tran. He has been involved, concerned about my health everytime I have a routine appt. He prescribed medication that would help me and when the meds did not work he tried again. He was open to try anything that would help. Now Diabetes doesn't control my body. I am almost prediabetic my A1C came down from 11 to 6.5 .. Thank God and thank you Dr Tran for your care

Over the years Dr. Neil Tran helped me overcome problems acquired for the medical treatment of Stage [ID] melanoma. Adrenal grand stopped working, placed on steroids which gave me very high blood sugar readings and checking my thyroid that half was taken out with possible cancer. Today I am the best shape I have been since I started with stage [ID] melanoma: surgery on my head, radiation and five medicines during an experimental treatments. I am very thankful for Dr Tran! Even at 76 on my next month for my birthday, I am in the best physical shape since I was at sixty. [Name(s)]

Dr. Tran is excellent-I especially appreciate how carefully he listens and that he takes into account my complex concurrent health issues when deciding the best approach to/timing of my ongoing treatment and monitoring.

This was my first visit to Dr. Niel Tran. I discussed with him my concerns going forward on a change to my therapy for my borderline diabetes and A1c level. We talked about adding Mounjaro therapy, and he said that his focus was for me to easily tolerate the change. We also talked about as this change takes effect that he might remove me from Januvia. I asked him as I progress if he might reduce and/or remove Metformin from my therapy. He said that was a great question, and that over the next year it could be possible. I had a very thorough discussion with him.

This visit was very good. I have had issues with call backs from the office. Because it was the day after Christmas, the office was pretty calm and laid back

So far, since he started being my Endocrinologist, I was comfortable with the care he provides. He'll explain anything you would like to be emphasized making sure I understood what he had expressed, if it's not too clear to me, I would ask him for re- explanation for me to understand better.He's a nice Doctor & explain further what I didn't understand. I started having Osteoporosis since the beginning of my visit with him and placed me on oral medication for a long while, however it didn't seem to work with my Osteoporosis problem so he started switching me to PROLIA being given intramuscularly every six months & In July will be my next dose.

He remembers details about me and spends time discussing any concerns he or I have about my health. He also takes an interest in me as a whole person. Since I have no complications with my thyroid management we have time to chat about other things which helps us to inspire each other.

I know that Dr. Tran is very good at what he does and is a good doctor. But like many other endocrinologists, and various doctors, he doesn't have a lot of guidance re: Reactive Hypoglycemia. He gave me a paper on it, but there's a lot to it. It's really not easy to deal with! He said something like he doesn't have a magic wand to whisk it away or something like that. I wish there was a magic spell to take it away! In the meantime, I do need some support and help. I'll probably look for a naturopath. I didn't get the feeling that Dr. Tran wanted me to continue with him. I'll stay with current endo I have that I'm just checking in with once a year because he said "you don't need me". This is the common answer re: hypoglycemia that's not severe, but I do still need support, because if I go really low it's scary. I know. Have all the tools at my fingertips however. Thank you. I just don't think everything should be based on testing and he started talking about heart stuff when I've never had heart issues but he brought it up because it's in my family on mom and dad's side. That was connected to cholesterol issue...I'm borderline high cholesterol, but I came there to to be helped with the Reactive Hypoglycemia.
