Michael Chu, MD

Dr. Chu’s interest in the field of Endocrinology began during a rotation in medical school, where he was captivated by the themes of balance and homeostasis within the Endocrine system. His decision to pursue Endocrinology as a subspecialty was solidified during his years of training in Internal Medicine and participating in additional elective rotations in Endocrinology. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Chu obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Villanova University and earned his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. Then, he came to Portland to complete his fellowship in Endocrinology at Oregon Health and Science University. He has practiced general Endocrinology in a community practice setting throughout his career and values the longitudinal relationships that develop when managing chronic disorders. Ultimately, his goal is to provide the best care possible so that his patients may lead full and healthy lives.
