About Emad Ali

Dr. Emad Ali is an Endocrinologist in Lubbock with a passion for all aspects of the specialty including diabetes technology, pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, calcium, bone, and lipid disorders. Dr. Ali graduated from the University of Tripoli’s College of Medicine in 2008 and practiced internal medicine in his home country before moving to the United States in 2011. In 2016, Dr. Ali completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Texas tech University Health Science Center and became board certified in Internal Medicine. After completing his residency, Dr. Ali worked as an assistant professor of medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center before relocating to San Antonio to complete a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Before graduating in 2022, he worked closely with world-renowned diabetologist, Dr. Ralph DeFronzo in his research on prediabetes and the preservation of beta cells function. Dr. Ali is an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Diabetes Association, American Thyroid Association, Endocrine Society, Pituitary Society, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. When Dr. Ali is not practicing medicine, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, travelling, and playing chess with friends.
