This visit, Dr. Kunkel ordered blood work ahead of visit. It was really great to be able to talk about it in person rather than the follow-up through the patient portal that has been done in the past. Additional, I really appreciate the reminder to make my annual appointment that I get a few months out. Wish all providers did that!

Dr. Kunkel and his staff are always top-notch from the time you step in the office to the check-in process to your exam room and then seeing the doctor as well as check out. My appointments are usually made when leaving and lab work is put in before the appointment is over for my next visit. Our community is very fortunate to have him as a provider and I'm grateful for the time he has taken me during my thyroid issues. Dr. Kunkel listens to my concerns and gives honest feedback.Dr. K has helped me manage my type 1 diabetes for 7years. He is a great endocrinologist and kind human being.

I greatly enjoyed my visit with Dr. Kunkel. He listened, asked questions, made comments, ordered lab work and recommended follow up visits. However, I have not heard back from him or his office regarding my lab results. The lab sent results of my blood tests by the following morning and I definitely need some changes made in my medication regime.

Dr. Kunkel is fantastic. He is a dear man and comes across to me as very caring and listens to my concerns and responds absolutely appropriately and with specific focus on the problem at hand. He absolutely takes the bull by the horns and gets to the crux of the problem, but at the same time is very attentive to me as a patient. I'm not easily impressed with healthcare providers, having worked in healthcare in the past for a number of years. I know what is possible for good providers to do, and I know when someone is doing the minimal to get by and collect a check. Dr. Kunkel is in his field for the right reasons, from my experience. He cares about people, and is knowledgeable and brings that experience and knowledge to bear in a direct way. I have dealt with this condition for a number of years now, and Dr. Kunkel has been the most effective in assessing, planning and executing a plan, and making the twists and turns as needed when that becomes necessary. I feel very confident in trusting my care to Dr. Kunkel. He is one of the most special doctors that I have the pleasure to rely on, and hope that I can stay with him for as long as I need to be seen for this condition.Oh, and although I don't feel that Dr. Kunkel spends a great deal of time with me, it clearly is enough time as I see, and I never get the feeling that he is rushing. He is just very effective in his use of time, and in that time that he has, I feel completely confident that he is listening, and coming up with a plan that is going to address the issue. He stays focused, but at the same time, is able to convey the compassion that is so often lacking. I'd rather take a short office visit with Dr. Kunkel than a long office visit that may be with a provider that I sense is not really hearing me and leaves me at home with a plan that I don't think was borne out of an effective conversation. I always leave Dr. Kunkel feeling that we are both on the same page, and that I have either been heard, he agrees with me and supports me, or that he has heard me, and explained why he feels a different approach will work better. I always leave feeling happy about my care.

This provider was abke to determine my not only that my fiit was broken but took an xray because he thought my ankle was broken tto and took the time to make sure so he new if it was or not instead of guessing which I aqpprecuate.

It is usually difficult to get appointments in the Kadlec Endocrinology Dept. Dr. Kunkel has been following me for the better part of five years, but I get in to see him when needed.
