About Mischa B. Ronick
Dr. Ronick became a doctor because he wanted to help others improve their health and well-being, especially people who are uninsured or face barriers in finding care. He emphasizes clear communication and shared decision-making and strives to understand his patients' goals and desires. "I see myself as an educator," Dr. Ronick says. "I try to empower patients to make lifestyle choices that support their health. I also see my role as an advocate for my patients and for healthier communities."
Dr. Ronick says he enjoys caring for people throughout their lifespans. He has multiple arease of interest including family planning, pregnancy prevention, prenatal care and newborn deliveries. "I enjoy the opportunity to support patients during some of their most challenging, fearful or joyful times," he says. "I believe everyone has the capacity to improve their lives and circumstances." Dr. Ronick also enjoys working closely with patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders and hepatitis C.
Dr. Ronick is originally from Colorado and earned his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed his family medicine residency at University of Wisconsin, Madison. In 2014-15, he moved to southern Belize with his partner to co-direct a primary care clinic in a rural, impoverished district. This experience helped him grow as an individual and a doctor. In his personal time he enjoys running, music, outdoor activities, and spending time with his two children and wife.
