About Phillip J. Matthews
I employ a holistic approach to primary care. Too often, our health system can fail to deliver basic needs to our population. By emphasizing a whole person approach to care, I hope to improve the health and quality of life of our patients. I recently separated from the Air Force after 10 years of active service. I am originally from New Jersey. I completed undergraduate studies at Villanova University. After a few years working in biomedical research, I went on to complete a Master's degree at Georgetown University. I attended the Uniformed Services University for medical school and completed residency at Travis AFB in CA. I am delighted to be a part of the Providence team. My wife, Emma, and I have 8 children, we live in Eagle River and we love Alaska!
