Dr. Gutierrez has been my primary doctor for 15 years and she has always gone above and beyond to take care of me, especially now that I've gotten older, and have very strange problems, she is always there for me. Earlier this year I was so sick, for 10 weeks, I could barely get out of bed, and she got me through it, and got me the meds and referrals I required.

I had done research regarding my condition and current recommended treatment before I arrived and some of what I had read seemed to be more updated than what my provider knew, but she listened and respected my opinion and was willing to change me to a different medication than she would have originally done based on my research and reasoning. I respect her and she respects me and that's one thing I like about having her as my doctor. She clearly has treated other patients with my condition before and approached me compassionately. And she had dug through my medical records closely in preparation for our appointment. Since this was a new condition to her (I have had it for 45+ years), I couldn't get in to see her for three weeks which aggravated my condition, and I do wish there would be a way to get in to see her sooner when fairly urgent issues arise.

I had a wonderful experience with the provider. She was very helpful and thorough during my examination. She answered all questions I had and was a pleasure to interact with. She is my son's pediatrician and his mother's doctor as well.

Dr Gutierrez seems open to my questions and spends time with me. It would help me if she could "celebrate successes" with me in my health journey. I've been making a lot of changes (in diet, meds, exercise) and am seeing results, but I often feel like I'm not doing enough and feel badly when I leave instead of encouraged.Not related to Dr. Gutierrez completely, but related to my care and MyChart: It is a challenge when MyChart suggests tests that aren't needed. Also, receiving feedback can be impersonal/scary. And frustrating when not clear.
