Ngoc Giao T. Nguyen, MD

Dr Ngoc Giao Nguyen is a board certified family medicine physician. She completed medical school at Michigan State University before completing her internship and residency at UTHealth Houston.

Dr. Nguyen's areas of expertise include hypertension, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypothyroidism, weight management, depression and anxiety. Dr. Nguyen's philosophy of care is Creating a relaxed and welcoming care environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their stories, concerns and goals; ensuring patients feeling heard, supported and uplifted after each visit; partnering with patients by understanding their goals, values, and concerns to develop treatment plans that are personalized and achievable; forming lasting relationships and empowering patients to make confident and informed decisions about their health.

Dr. Nguyen's favorite aspect of the physician/patient relationship is the opportunity to support patients through both difficult and celebratory moments; patients entrust me with personal stories or struggles they may not feel comfortable sharing elsewhere, and the opportunity to provide comprehensive care—including preventive services, management of acute and chronic conditions, and guidance to help patients achieve better overall health. On her free time, she enjoys attending sports events, experiencing live music, discovering new restaurants, and spending time outdoors relaxing at the beach or taking in beautiful scenery.
