David M. Cutler, MD

David Cutler, MD, has been Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor for the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for 26 years and is now Chairman of the Santa Monica Family Physicians medical group. From 2004-2010, he was Chairman of the Family Medicine Department at Saint John’s Health Center. He is certified by the America Board of Family Medicine and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Originally from Boston, he graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and received Honors grades from Tufts Medical School. Dr. Cutler is active in the UCLA Program in Global Health leading yearly missions to Haiti. In addition, he explored international health during periods of practice in New Zealand and Myanmar. Dr. Cutler has a special interest in cardiovascular disease and performs treadmill stress tests in his office. David and his wife, a clinical psychologist, have been married for 33 years. Their three grown children reside in LA with sons employed in cloud software and commercial real estate. Their daughter is in medical school. The Cutler family enjoys adventurous family vacations skiing, boating, scuba diving and exploring distant cultures.
