Dr. John Shin is a good doctor and needs a little more patience however, he did take care of my illness. Thank you.

I was there for a well visit, but the doctor did not even listen to my. I was there for a well visit, but the doctor did not even listen to my heart or Lungs I would have liked him to look more at me Instead of the computer.

My regular doctor is on maternity leave and doctor Shin went over recently xrays. He was wonderful, would be happy if I needed to see him again.

Overall a great experience. I had some confusion regarding prior prescriptions and getting them filled (i.e. Getting a possible prior authorization). It took a bit of back and forth on the phone and in person between my pharmacy and the doctor's office to get my questions answered, but everyone was helpful and attentive.

1st time seeing Dr. Shin but he was well versed on reason for my visit, answered all my questions. Was very sympathetic l. Willing to listen. Took as much time as I needed, I never felt rushed. Appointment was a great experience I would definitely see Dr. Shin again for my medical needs

My reg was on maternity leave so she was not there for my Aug [Date] visit,I chose Dr Shin,I'm sure glad I did he was wonderful very encouraging about my results on my a1c. If my Dr doesn't come back from maternity leave I Wii continue with Dr Shin.

Dr. Shin was covering for my newly assigned PCP who is on holiday until January 2026 so the front desk was able to schedule my new patient appointment with Dr. Shin. I was skeptical as I usually prefer & feel more comfortable with a female doctor, however Dr. Shin was great - put me at ease right away with his kind & attentive demeanor. He walked me through my medical history & discussed all my concerns as a type 1 insulin diabetic. The appointment was GREAT. He processed all my referrals & prescriptions. As a person with a chronic condition, ive dealt with MANY providers & Dr. Shin ranks up there in the top 3, if not the top position. Was VERY pleasantly surprised at the short waiting period - ive been kept in the exam rooms waiting for other providers for 45-60+ minutes on way too many occasions. I am hoping to switch my PCP to Dr. Shin as a result of our appointment. REALLY GREAT DOCTOR!! Repetition of pleasantly surprised. Thank you for making me feel seen & heard. Really, wow! Super impressed.

I felt like I had to explain my reason for being there multiple times. First to the Medical Assistant who brought me to the room. Second, to an RN who did the same exam that the doctor did and, a third time to the Doctor who repeated the same exam the nurse did and finally a medical student who had to examine me also. A bit much!!!

This was my initial visit after joining Providence. It was easy to get an appointment, and referrals from this provider.

First time seeing this doctor , friendly ask a lot of questions and listen to me with interest. Prescribed medication and keep in touch . If needed he'll refer me to a dermatologist.

Recommended lab testing to include all necessary requests to avoid more blood drawing.

Dr. Shin saw me on an emergency basis, listened to me closely and recommended me to further help. Later, after learning that I was in St. Jude hospital, he called me to see how I was doing. That follow-up was a surprise....and appreciated. Dr. Shin will now be my primary provider !!

Dr. John Shin explained to me about my virus infection. He was very thorough with explaining to me how to use the medicine he prescribed. I left very informed and reassured that I would get well soon. I will definitely ask for him for my next appointment.
