About Janet E. Patin
Dr. Patin believes the patient is the most important member of the care team. "It's a privilege to participate in people's lives and help in both health and illness. Family physicians specialize in the whole person within the family. We care for physical, mental and spiritual well-being." The Cincinnati, Ohio, native says she's wanted to be a doctor as long as she can remember. Two of her childhood friends' parents were doctors she greatly admired, providing lifelong inspiration. "Medicine provides so many opportunities to help others," she says. A board-certified physician, Dr. Patin earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Yale University. She completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health & Sciences University, where she was chief resident. She is interested in health policy, was co-chair of the statewide Medicaid Advisory Committee, and is now active on the Oregon Health Authority's Immunization Practice Advisory Team. She worked in rural Oregon in Reedsport for 18 years before returning to the Portland area with Providence in Gresham. When she's not working, Dr. Patin enjoys gardening, creative writing and playing the harp.

Very responsible to her patients

First off the good, in my 15 plus years going to that clinic, I believe I've had 3 different Dr.s the one before the 1 I have now I had for 10 years and now I've had my PC Pi have now for at least 4 years, I could not be any happier Dr. Patton isExtremely? Expressive about people in general and the conditions they come there with doctors can only do so much, and she does that, and anything else that she can do to help. I'm in a crossroads now I might have to change Doctors, because of this insurance change.I guess Providence is no longer accepting united healthcare, and I'm on very limited income, as I have neuropathy, can't work?I'm trying to figure out a way to bring some other income into our household. I'm 77 years old and right now, all I get financially is my social security. My wife only works 2 days a week. She's 76.So our finances are very limited, and I can't afford to be paying out of pocket, so I extremely rely on any help other than united healthcare plans A+B but I understand even with just plans a and BI will still have to pay out-of-pocket. I can't afford that.In the beginning, my first receive Dr. Patton, as my primary, I was a little unsure.But once I got to know her, she is very precision oriented. Aside from running a clinic She's an exceptional doctor and (yes) everything I said about her and the clinic as a whole. I wouldn't wanna go anywhere else. No other doctors it takes time like anything else to nurture a relationship with anything or anyone?And I feel I put in my time with doctors, so I'm kinda spoiled. I don't want to change. I want who I want so if anyone can help me make a decision. I want to stay there, but I'm not sure the best way to go about that so that would be my only. Offer of needing assistance other than that.
