About Mich A. Gehrig
Hailing from the far-north suburbs of Chicago–an area of diverse culture, race, and socioeconomics–Dr. Gehrig knew from a young age that he wanted to make a difference in the world. Through medicine, he hopes to achieve this by working with patients from a holistic standpoint, allowing them to become the best versions of themselves through individualized care. It’s his belief that pills and medications alone are just one of the many instruments available to help us reach our health goals.
Dr. Gehrig received his bachelor’s degree in pre-medicine, biochemistry, and Spanish for professional use from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois; he earned his medical degree from Des Moines University, in Des Moines, Iowa; and recently in 2023 completed his rural family medicine residency training with University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) in both Las Vegas, Nevada and Winnemucca, Nevada.
New to Oregon, Dr. Gehrig likes to spend his free time exploring the area, adventuring out on new hikes, and above all staying healthy, fit, and active. He is an avid soccer and baseball fan—on the weekends you’ll often catch him at a Timbers or Thorns game, or enjoying the evening in catching up on the Cubs.

Dr Gehrig is knowledgable, a good listener, easy to talk with and addresses all my concerns.
Providence Patient
This was my first appointment with Dr Gehrig. He was very helpful, listened to me, and answered my questions. I felt that Dr Gerhig was interested in me as a patient and that he would not make diagnoses or recommend treatments based solely on my age and gender.
Providence Patient

I don't necessarily feel like this survey is a fair representation of my experience, as it was a new patient visit to establish care with the PCP. I waited several years to even get an appointment. I have had great care with the bridge team and video visits. Over all I'm very happy with providence, I do feel that getting an appointment can be incredibly difficult and take a very long time.
