About Emily M. Arbuckle
As a physician assistant specializing in family medicine, Emily enjoys building relationships with patients and their families. She emphasizes prevention and evidence-based care, and believes that “health care should be patient centered, holistic and compassionate.”
Her three priorities with her patients, says Emily, are: “To create a safe space for open and honest communication; to provide guidance and information while respecting patients’ autonomy; and to partner with patients to create care plans that consider their social circumstances and work best for them as individuals.”
Emily completed her bachelor’s degree and physician assistant training at Wichita State University.
Outside of her medical interests, she says, “I am a foodie and love trying foods from different cultures.” She also enjoys shooting film and digital photos, and hiking and camping with her partner and their pitbull, Nova.
