About Kathy A. Mayers
Kathy Mayers, D.N.P., FNP, has worked in palliative care for the past five years, working with patients and their loved ones in their homes and in a hospital setting. She completed a doctorate degree in nursing practice in 2019. Previously, Kathy worked in primary care, urgent care, and oncology.
Kathy's goal is to provide compassionate care to patients who are experiencing serious illness. She believes that working as a partner with patients is key to helping them feel and function as well as they possibly can. Her goal is to meet patients wherever they are in their care and give support that is tailored to each individual.
Outside of work, Kathy appreciates time together with her husband and sons. She enjoys cooking, knitting, sewing, reading, gardening, and fostering kittens.
