Leslie M. Gustafson, PAC

Leslie Gustafson, PA-C, became a family medicine practice provider because she wanted to make a positive impact in other people’s lives and society. Medicine allows her to combine her interests in health, biology, psychology and helping others. She likes getting to know her patients and working with the medical team to provide the best care.

As a physician assistant, Leslie emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle, including caring for the mind and body to achieve optimal health. “I enjoy the challenge of exploring a patient’s motivation and the barriers they may have to their medical care/health,” she says. Leslie believes her most important role is to provide her patients education and information regarding health conditions so they can make the best decisions. She will meet patients where they are at in terms of their health and goals, working as a team with them to achieve a plan. She is kind and easy-going, as well as a good listener. “I also strongly believe in the importance of attending to a person’s mental/emotional health to fully impact their physical health states,” she adds.

After earning her undergraduate degree in human biology, Leslie graduated from Pacific University’s School of Physician Assistant Studies.

Leslie was born and raised near Kansas City, Kansas. Outside of work, she enjoys music, hanging out with her dog and family, and all of the outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. She finds it important to practice what she preaches by eating healthy, exercising regularly, and taking care of her mind and body.
