About Allan C. Camacho
I am a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families in Levelland and the surrounding West Texas communities. My decision to pursue a career in medicine began early in life, inspired by caring for sick family members. As the first in the family to complete nursing school and later medical training, I cared for my sick grandmother and father, experiences that shaped a lifelong commitment to service and empathy in healthcare. I completed medical school in the Philippines and practiced in primary care, emergency department, and inpatient settings. After relocating to the United States, I continued providing patient care as a registered nurse, gaining a unique and valuable perspective across the healthcare continuum. Blessed with the opportunity to return to the practice of medicine as a physician, I completed family medicine residency training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and chose to remain in West Texas. I worked in a Federally Qualified Health Center for more than 13 years where we provided health care to the community including the underserved population. I believe my experience in different settings allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the interaction between providers and patients and their families. I believe patients should be treated the way one would want their own family to be treated. Patient care is viewed as a partnership built on open communication, trust, compassion, patient empowerment, and evidence-based medical recommendations. I take a holistic approach to care, addressing not only physical health and symptoms but also mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being.
