About Amy B. Barrett
Amy “Brooke” Barrett began her healthcare career in February 1996 as a medical records clerk at Levelland Nursing & Rehab, where she quickly developed a passion for patient care and healthcare leadership. She graduated from the South Plains College Licensed Vocational Nursing program in August 1999 and continued advancing her education by earning an Associate Degree in Nursing from South Plains College in December 2002. Through dedication, clinical excellence, and a strong commitment to those she served, Brooke advanced to Director of Nursing at Levelland Nursing & Rehab in 2006. She continued in that leadership role while furthering her education, graduating from West Texas A&M University in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She served as Director of Nursing until March 2014, building a strong foundation in nursing leadership, staff development, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered care. In May 2014, Brooke was highly recruited to join the professional staff at Covenant Health Levelland. She initially onboarded as a charge nurse and, by October 2014, was promoted to Medical Surgical Supervisor. In this role, she continued to demonstrate strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to supporting nursing teams while promoting quality care and positive patient outcomes. Brooke earned her Master of Science in Nursing in May 2020, further expanding her advanced clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities. In October 2020, she continued her responsibilities as Medical Surgical Supervisor at Covenant Health Levelland while also serving as a mid-level provider at Levelland Clinic South on weekends, supporting the weekend sick clinic. With decades of healthcare experience spanning medical records, bedside nursing, nursing leadership, and advanced practice care, Brooke is recognized for her dedication to patients, commitment to excellence, and passion for advancing healthcare in the Levelland community.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending quality time with her family and especially cherishes watching the younger members of the family grow and reach new milestones. She loves spending time outdoors and staying active through activities such as biking, running, swimming, boating, and other water and outdoor adventures. Staying active is an important part of her daily routine, whether through walking, strength training, or other forms of exercise.
Amy also enjoys cooking, healthy eating, and meal prepping, as well as traveling and gathering with friends and family for good food and conversation. She has a particular appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys spending time at the lake, ranch life, fishing, and other outdoor activities with family. In her downtime, she enjoys listening to a wide variety of music and watching movies, with favorites ranging from comedies and romantic films to action and mystery.
