Peter G. Edminster, MD

I'm an eastern Washington native; I grew up just north of Spokane in the Colbert/Chatteroy area. I fell in love with rural medicine after college, and it has been my passion ever since. I enrolled in the Targeted Rural Underserved Track through the University of Washington Medical School, and from there I came to Colville to train in our rural residency program. I met my wife, Melissa, along the way and we have added three kids who we are very excited to raise in the outdoors. We took a brief detour to the Palouse after I finished my training, where I practiced full-spectrum medicine in the tiny town of St. John for about 6 years. We're happy to be back in the mountains again! I'll be doing primary care at the clinic in Colville, as well as some work in the hospital and a good deal of work with the residency program. I love taking care of people of all ages, I will strive to treat you with compassion and approach your health in a holistic manner. Outside of medicine I like fly fishing, hiking, wrestling , bluegrass music. I'm honored to be here and looking forward to working hard for the people of this community.
