Emily Cooper, MD, is a life-long Washington resident. She studied medicine at the University of Washington and completed residency training at Providence. She accepts patients of all ages, and interests include pediatrics, including newborn care, women’s health, mental health, substance use disorders, gender affirming care, musculoskeletal disorders and geriatrics. Interests outside of medicine include spending time with her husband and cats, enjoying the local art and theater, gardening, and hiking.

My wait time was pretty long. My appointment was at 9:45 and I didn't see my provider until 10:30. I wasn't thrilled as I had an appointment for a child of mine scheduled to go to after my appointment with Dr. Cooper. However, since this appointment was to establish care with Dr. Cooper, and I was absolutely THRILLED with my visit (she listened to me, she gave me fantastic advice based on listening to me, and I appreciated her attentiveness and thoroughness), I didn't mind. I will keep the wait time in mind for future visits, but I don't really care as she is night and day compared to my previous provider. She's even a 35 minute drive for me to see versus 5 minutes for my old provide, and I don't mind. That's how much I liked her. She's amazing!
