When discussing antidepressants, he asks if I have input or thoughts on what I should try or if I need to switch. He has discussions in a way that encourages me to feel like I have choices and my care is not dictated. As a nurse, I know I always have the right of refusal, but he has never made me feel as if I HAVE to do something "because he said so." I have no doubt this is how he operates with every patient.
