Douglas L. Nguyen, MD

Dr Nguyen was completely knowledgeable about my medical history with severe diarrhea and hospitalization with severe electrolyte imbalance. He had complete knowledge of all the medications I was taking. He asked how much I was paying for the budesonide [ID]mg I was taking and I told him $[ID] per month. He is very concerned about cost for his senior patients on social security and put me on a less expensive version of the same drug. Then he told me I don't have colitis but lymphocytic colitis needing Stelara for hope of remission as there is no cure. His office is helping me get the care I need. I am so happy to have him as my gastroenterologist, he is very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. He has given me hope that I will get well again. I have accepted there is no cure but remain hopeful for remission. I am ready for my 14 to 16 month journey for remission by getting Stelara first by IV infusion and then sub-q injections every 8 weeks for 1 year

This is my first with Dr. Nguyen. I was a patient of Dr. Adamoney who has retired. Dr. Nguyen was pleasant and knew my history.

Dr. Nguyen was very informative and very friendly. He explained to me what to expext before, during, and after the procedure I am going to have in layman's terms. Highly recommended.

Dr. Nguyen is very personable, knowledgeable and preformed an endoscopy and colonoscopy much sooner than I anticipated. I am awaiting biopsy results and he has been optimistic that he will have a diagnosis and treatment plan in place next week. Excellent care by Dr. Nguyen, Dr. Wong and the nursing staff.
