About Brian L. Hanson
Dr. Brian L. Hanson attended Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed his gastroenterology training at the Lahey Clinic followed by an ERCP advanced fellowship at Maine Medical Center under the expert endoscopist Dr. Douglas Howell. Dr. Hanson has been practicing gastroenterology in Northern California since 1998. He was most recently with Kaiser Permanente in Vacaville and before that in private practice in Ukiah. He has a particular interest in removing large colon polyps and has a certificate from the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for Lower GI endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Dr. Hanson's philosophy of care: "I am empathetic to the people that seek GI care and always seek to understand their needs regarding disease and symptom education as well as diagnosis and treatment of their GI condition. I also remove large colon polyps and I have received advanced training in ERCP." He enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology care and building relationships with patients, primary care providers as well as office and endoscopy nursing and support staff. He is a musician and a car enthusiast.

Dr. Hanson can get behind in seeing you at the office but it's because he is so thorough, questioning, and respectful that the wait is worth it. He cares about solving problems and is not hesitant to order whatever tests or bloodwork is necessary. Very impressive doctor.
