About Shannon M. Schroeder
Dr. Schroeder is a compassionate and diligent gastroenterologist and hepatologist dedicated to providing evidence-based, individualized, patient-centered care. She partners closely with her patients, fostering trust and understanding while addressing the physical, emotional, social, and psychological factors that impact overall health. Dr. Schroeder’s clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease/cirrhosis, motility disorders, acid reflux/GERD, and colon cancer screening and prevention. She is committed to staying at the forefront of gastroenterology and hepatology to provide the highest quality care. After earning her B.A. in Psychology from UCLA, Dr. Schroeder earned her medical degree at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. She subsequently completed both her Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship at UC Davis School of Medicine, where she was honored with the Nirmal Mann Excellence in Fellow Research Award in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association. Dr. Schroeder is a Santa Rosa native and is very excited to be returning home to serve the community that helped shape her core values and provided the foundation for her career in medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Schroeder enjoys spending time with friends and family, walking her basset hound Eddie, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
