About Ajay Singhvi

Dr. Singhvi was drawn to the field of gastroenterology, and specifically advanced endoscopy because of the ability to endoscopically manage GI disorders obviating the need for surgery in many situations. He saw that this field was rapidly growing and things that were not possible 5-10 years ago were now quickly expanding, with even more possibilities on the horizon. Dr. Singhvi enjoys performing procedures in the endoscopy suite to alter the course of a patient’s disease and affect change, whether it is the management of cancers, stone disease, or pancreatitis. As a proceduralist, he appreciates the collaboration with surgery, radiology, and interventional radiology to form consensus decisions on how to best manage GI disorders. Following the completion of his general gastroenterology training, Dr. Singhvi developed a special interest in disorders of the pancreas and biliary tract. He completed an extra year of training in Advanced Endoscopy to hone these skills. During this year, he developed proficiency in several procedures to treat disorders of the pancreas and biliary tract. These skills include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, Barrett’s therapy, enteral stenting, and endoscopic suturing.
