About Sumant Arora
Dr. Sumant Arora is a board-certified gastroenterologist in Spokane, Washington. After graduating from medical school in North India, Dr. Arora completed his internal medicine residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) followed by gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the University of Iowa. Dr. Arora is passionate about caring for patients with IBD/Crohn’s, Barrett’s/Esophageal disease, hepatitis, gastrointestinal cancers and believes in treating the whole patient, not just the disease. Extensively published in the GI literature, Dr. Arora also volunteers to teach medical students/residents and serve on multiple committees at the American College of Gastroenterology and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. When not caring for patients, Dr. Arora enjoys the great outdoors including hiking, road biking, landscape photography, snow shoeing, meditation and spending time with family and friends.
