About Philippe J. Quilici
Philippe Quilici, MD, is board certified in general surgery and specializes in minimally invasive surgery with clinical interests in bariatric surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and cancer. He received his medical degree from University D'Aix Marseille, France. Dr. Quilici completed both his internship and residency in general surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York. He also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Quilici has focused his research on various laparoscopic techniques, laparoscopic instrument design and surgical management of morbid obesity. He has authored several books and articles on these subjects. In addition, Dr. Quilici has membership in several professional societies, including the American Medical Association, the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, the New York Medical Society and the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He also is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Quilici is currently the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship program and the Director of Bariatric Services at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. He is bilingual in English and French. Dr. Quilici is a member of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Staff providing care in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery.
