Dr. Judith Richmond serves as the Regional Medical Director of Outpatient Wound Care for Providence, bringing over 25 years of dedicated experience as both a general surgeon and wound care specialist. Dr. Richmond has honed her expertise across various healthcare settings, including HMO, military, university, rural, and private practice environments, underscoring her versatility and commitment to patient care. Specializing in wound care and general surgery, Dr. Richmond is passionate about transforming the landscape of outpatient wound care. Her mission is to standardize care in outpatient wound care centers, ensuring consistency and excellence in treatment protocols. By integrating advanced wound care modalities, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, she strives to provide the best available wound care, guided by science-backed data for real and reliable healing outcomes. Dr. Richmond earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and completed her residency in general surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti, Michigan (Ann Arbor). She has continued her education, obtaining additional certifications in diseases of the breast. Her expertise includes diagnosing the causes of breast pain and breast lumps, providing advanced mastectomy and lumpectomy procedures, and offering modern radiation therapy forms.
