Allison Wong, MS, CGC

Allison Wong is a board-certified, licensed genetic counselor specializing in cancer genetics. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Gonzaga University and her master’s degree in Genetic Counseling at the University of California, Irvine. Allison has a special interest in helping patients understand the limits of consumer-initiated genetic testing and is part of our J.E.D.I efforts to engage diverse populations across Orange County. She also enjoys providing mentorship and lectures for those interested in clinical genetics and supports student-driven projects that advance the practice of genetic counseling. As the Orange County lead of our oncology patient Same-Day Genetic Clinics, Allison oversees and is an advocate for multidisciplinary cancer care pathways that create ease of access for our patients with active cancer diagnoses. Allison also leads the Orange County Skin Punch Biopsy Program which, in partnership with a local dermatology office, coordinates alternative sample collection in complex cases.
