About Danielle Carr
Danielle Carr is a senior board-certified, licensed genetic counselor specializing in cancer genetics. She received her bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her master's degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Texas MD Anderson UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Her interests include alternative service delivery models and improving patient access to quality genetics care. Danielle strives to expand equitable access to genetic testing by integrating our genetics services into routine medical care clinics, such as mammography screenings. She also serves as a mentor for prospective and current genetic counseling students. Danielle supports our High-Risk Breast Programs for women identified with an elevated lifetime risk of developing breast cancer and works closely with our entire Providence Orange County genetics team as the lead coordinator of our population screening CARE Program in Mammography Same-Day Genetics Clinics.
