About Danielle Carr
Danielle Carr is a senior, board‑certified genetic counselor specializing in cancer genetics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and her master’s degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Texas MD Anderson UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Her professional interests include expanding access to high‑quality genetics care and developing innovative service delivery models that meet patients where they are. Danielle is committed to advancing equitable access to genetic testing by integrating genetics services into routine clinical settings, including mammography clinics. She also mentors prospective and current genetic counseling students, supporting the next generation of professionals in the field. Danielle works closely with our entire Providence Orange County genetics team as the lead coordinator for the same‑day genetics clinic supporting patients newly diagnosed with cancer. She also supports our High‑Risk Breast Programs, providing care for women with an elevated lifetime risk of breast cancer. Danielle is committed to empowering patients with clear, supportive guidance to help them take proactive steps toward cancer prevention and early detection.
