Nicole C. Tabbal, AGACNP

During nursing school, Nicole Tabbal, AGACNP, knew she wanted to continue her education and become a provider. She had a strong desire not only to expand her knowledge, but also to better understand disease processes and use that understanding to provide thoughtful, effective treatment. Throughout her nursing career, Nicole worked in cardiology before specializing in advanced heart failure, where she discovered her true passion. She has always been drawn to the intricate workings of the heart, the pathophysiology of cardiac disease, and the innovative treatments that continue to evolve in the field. After spending time in vascular surgery, Nicole has decided to return to her roots in advanced heart failure. Nicole became a nurse in 2008 and worked in cardiology for eight years before returning to school to become an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). She graduated in 2019 and worked with the ventricular assist device (VAD) team before spending six years as a nurse practitioner in vascular surgery. Nicole believes her most important role as a provider is to educate, assess, and provide treatment. She is a firm believer that an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of treatment. Nicole is passionate about empowering patients to fully participate in their care and providing them with the tools they need to do so. Nicole is originally from Southern California and moved to Oregon when she was young, where she has remained ever since. Her hobbies include musical theatre and film, as well as serving as a medical advisor for local television shows and movies. If you see a short redhead in blue scrubs in a scene, it is likely Nicole. She also enjoys spending time with her family and her beloved rescue dog.
