Very nice

I am under routine care for a chronic condition. I can easily make my appointments and get in, as the provider recommends. I see an MD every other visit, and an APP between visits. I know there is a shortage of specialists in Providence, and my choices are limited. Though I feel my specialist is competent, I don't feel I have much rapport with them, and when I have questions it feels like I am questioning their expertise--rather than just trying to better understand my health condition. As such, I don't feel I'm able to navigate confidence in the care provided to me because it's awkward to ask questions. And, honestly--I know I'm fortunate to even get to see a specialist. It makes me sad for myself, but also for other patients and truly---even for the specialists who clearly have a full plate and so many demands on them.

I did not feel that the practitioner showed genuine concern for my situation. The tone of the visit came across as condescending and I felt that my questions or concerns were not taken seriously. I felt I was being dismissed which made it difficult for me to trust the care being provided. I hope the clinic can encourage more compassionate communication.

The providers see to really care. And, I definitely need that during my illness!

I love the appointments I have had at this office. The receptionists are very friendly and eager to help. I feel very welcome and comfortable. There was a new person doing her trial period and it was obvious she will be a good fit. She was most concerned with not making me wait longer than necessary even though it was taking her a little longer than normal to get me checked in. Lisa is the BEST. She goes out of her way to answer my questions and explain everything to me.

Lisa went over each of the results from various blood tests. She compared them with previous ones and explained the differences. She helped me understand my condition and gave me good news about my health. I would highly recommend her to others.

I am a cancer patient being treated by the medical oncology department at Holy Family Hospital. All the providers are working as a team to help me overcome this breast cancer, and any future cancers in a proactive, advisory, and compassionate way. I feel very thankful to have Providence as my provider for this life crisis.

I went in to this appointment not thinking much would be said that was helpful. Or, that I would even get somebody who was yet again rude to me in a moment I needed kindness. What I was met with instead was an incredible medical assistant who was there first to take my vitals and such. And then I actually met my provider and she didn't treat me like I was less than human. She didn't make me feel like I was crazy for everything that I've experienced these past couple of years. She listened so carefully and responded in a way that made so much sense to my brain. I have been severely sick for 3 ish years and I wish I could have found her sooner
