Probably the only "negative" was that the medical assistant who took me back to the room was not the friendliest, tho did her job professionally. The "good" part was that the provider I saw was friendly, had a good sense of humor and explained things thoroughly.

The doctor listened and explained in detail about my problem with my hip. I have never had a doctor explain to me about what needs to be done and let me make the decision regarding what needs to be done next. He showed empathy and compassion to my problem. First of all I was able to see the surgeon on my very first visit!Secondly, he asked me what is the reason for my visit. Explain my injury. When it occured...etc.He wanted to hear from me first before looking at my chart.He is a great listener.Then he examined my hip and leg.Then he listed options to ease the pain.Then I chose surgery.It was so clear and thorough.Dr Lovell is concerned that my bones may be too thin. After viewing my ex-rays.I'm so grateful he spotted that serious disease so I can get immediate help from my primary physician.Hopefully I can turn that problem around.Dr Lovell was a gift to meet and the best surgeon for my hip replacement.

Dr. Lovell was very thorough in his exam, questions for me, and really listened to my responses. After evaluating my responses and xrays, he referred me for the next step and followup . He made me feel that he was totally focused on my problems during my visit.

As a rheumatologist, I know Dr. Lovell and his personal and surgical reputation. Great to deal with now over a very complex knee problem. Specifically made an appointment to seek his valued opinion during a short visit from Tucson. Will treturn soon for the rest of the summer and would highly prefer him for any knee surgery then.

Was a bit disappointed as it was the first time that Dr. Lovell really didn't seem to listen or understand my concern. He seemed to focus in on one thing, even tho he said it was unlikely, but never addressed what could be the problem if it wasn't the unlikely thing. No phone call with results and still same post op problem with no explanation. Frustrating

The care was awesome that I received..

I was very happy to meet Dr. Lovell who will do my knee replacement surgery. I appreciate being able to ask questions about concerns with the surgery. I feel very confident with having a good outcome from this surgery.

I have had a very positive experience with all my care providers. However, it has been a very long wait to get my surgery scheduled; 18 months from my initial visit with my surgeon to the actual date it's scheduled. This has put quite a strain on me. I don't blame my surgeon or his staff, but the Providence system needs to work on how it can solve some of these delays in providing care to its patients.

I would recommend Dr. Lovell to anyone that need knee or hip replacement surgery and in fact I have sent him patients.

I was referred over to Dr Lovell, from my other provider, to get his opinion. Dr Lovell didn't know why I was there. I felt that he was willing to listen to my answers to his questions but not to all my concerns. He was very nice and knowledgeable but I felt talked down to because I think he didn't know my provider had referred me over not that I was just looking for a second opinion. I'm thinking miscommunications took place that day. I have no doubt he is an excellent physician and very caring.

I love this office!! They treat me like family. They know who I am and what my needs are!

I really like Dr. Lovell - he clearly is one of the best of the best technically, but he also has an excellent "bedside" manner - I believe that his perspective on the application of medical care for me is right on target. If I should need further surgery which would require his attention, I hope that I will be able to have him do it.

Both the person who did the x-rays on my knee's and Dr Lovell were very professional and kind, they listened to me and answered any questions that I had!! I left the appt with all my concerns answered and with full confidence that I will be in good hands for when I have surgery on both my knees!! :)

I'm very glad Dr. Lovell is practicing again after his accident. I will be having knee replacement in 10 days.

Dr Lovell does a great job

Dr Lovell was very concerned that all my questions about my upcoming hip replacement were answered. He was very apologetic about my 30 minute wait time in the exam room. He explained that he had 3 complicated patients before me.

Best experience possible.

I had dislocated my left knee and it was taken care of in an ER. Both of my knees have been replaced by Dr. Lovell. I was not able to see Dr Lovell or his assistant for 10 days, which I thought was a big delay for my condition. Once I met with the assistant and then Dr Lovell, all was fine.

The survey may be vague. Doctor is a surgeon who did a full hip replacement. I had quality care from all staff.

Dr. Lovell and his team are excellent and are taking good care of me as I prepare to have my 1st surgery, Mako knee replacement at age 75.
