She then completed the Internal Medicine Residency at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital and Infectious Disease fellowship at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Detroit, MI. Dr. Akagi has published several journal articles regarding COVID-19. Dr. Akagi approaches each patient as a unique case. Respecting patient humanity is of utmost importance. Infection is the result of the combination of several ailments from body and mind, and it is important to have a holistic approach.

Dr Akagi is rather quiet and sometimes seems to be rushing through the appointment. Still, she is pleasant and kind. I do not like that I have to go to a different location to get my blood drawn. And pay extra.
