Dr Winter has helped me improve my overall health in spite of the diseases I have. He has competent staff and I always feel heard there. I did have 1 incident where I was given an appointment 6 months in advance (appt card given) but when the day got closer I noticed the appointment was not in My Chart. I was able to get an appointment the next day through My Chart.

This was the attempt to requst Dr Winters to become my primary physician. The only difficulty was that this first appt. Took over six months to meet with Dr Winters. I am sure he is very busy and the delay was caused by a very busy schedule.

Dr winters is my new Dr here in Medford Oregon. I moved here 15 months ago and was seeing a NO until is was referred to Dr Winters.

Dr Winter was upbeat and quire happy with my low A1C. I'm 64 and asked him whether or not I should get a Total Gym and work out. He said, "Sure!". He was encouraged that I was taking such good care of myself and had lost weight. My AIC was quite normal. Doctors like to see their patients listen to their advice and improve; they, understandably, get a bit discouraged when their patients get worse and don't listen to their recommendations. We had a very good visit. Very positive!

I felt my input was not really appreciated, I had questions and concerns that were either attacked (stations), chucked off (insulin resistance test), and somewhat demeaning (explaining my question for a generic as not a precise question.) I may have caught him on an off day, but I'd like to never experience contempt & arrogance again.

My provider and I have been working on making my A1C numbers a little better and it is clear that he listens and accepts my input as well as the data in front of him. Down from 6.9 to 6.5 and noted that I had a small amount of weight loss as well.

Great answers and getting tests done quickly to come up with the right answers

This was an initial visit at Providence and with Dr. Winter. He was attentive and interested to get my somewhat complicated medical and surgical hx. I think I've finally found a primary internist, and an excellent one, after a period adrift w/o access to care. The irony is that I am a retired internist and find it discouraging how difficult it has become to access competent primary care.

I really enjoy Dr Winter. He does a good job.
