About Travis A. McNeal
Dr. Travis McNeal strives to put meaning into the word doctor, with its Latin origin of "docere," which means "to teach." He says he hopes to engage patients in a partnership that plays an active role in their well-being, in times of illness and health.
Dr. McNeal earned his master's and medical degrees from the Chicago Medical School in 1999 and completed his residency training in 2002 at California Pacific Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Originally from Santa Monica, California, Dr. McNeal quickly fell in love with the Rogue Valley when he moved here in summer 2004 to raise his family. When he's not being the clinic "computer geek," he tries to unplug outdoors. He enjoys spending time with his wife, who works as a family physician at La Clinica, and two children, who are busy 4-H members. He also enjoys camping, hiking and fishing.

Although a very busy day the provider took time with me to discuss my symptoms and feelings, he was able to order a couple tests and referral to a specialist and identified my condition and started on immediate meds and is following up on blood work results. He never once made me feel he was rushed and had to cut his time short with me. He took time to explain in detail his findings and what we needed to do to help me. I am fortunate to have him as a provider. He really cares for his patients.

This was my first visit with Dr McNeal. He is extremely kind, attentive and compassionate to the health issues I am facing and have been through with former caregivers. He may not have gotten me into my appointment within 15 minutes....but he spent way over the time allotted to get to know me, my health issues, and to spend time to fully understand my situation . I scheduled my appointment months earlier and I believe it is very hard to see him because he is very busy and I can understand why. I felt "heard" for the first time in a very long time. Dr McNeal understood that I had been through a traumatic health issue and went out of his way to provide medication and assistance for me in the future. When you see a doctor this good...the wait is well worth the time to become their patient. I would highly recommend Dr McNeal to anyone! He puts you at ease and you KNOW he will discuss anything that affects your health and will work with you to improve your current and future health.
