About Kimberly J. Herder
In her medical practice, Kimberly Herder, MD, stresses the importance of preventive health care to her patients by serving as an educator and advocate. "I have a strong belief in the importance of health maintenance," she says. "I want to help patients identify potential risk factors in their lives so together we can prevent the onset of illness or disease."
Dr. Herder, who is board certified in internal medicine, earned her medical degree from the University of Alberta School of Medicine in Edmonton, Alberta. She completed her internship and residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Dr. Herder was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Away from her practice, she enjoys snowboarding, scuba diving, hiking, reading and traveling.

I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to see my PCP. I called on Monday and was seen on Thursday afternoon! I scheduled for a wellness check up but, I did have a concern about some pain I was experiencing in my left knee. I was scheduled for an ultrasound the following day.

Dr. Herder has been my physician for several years and has always provided excellent care. Since I am on lifelong warfarin therapy for massive pulmonary emboli, including a saddle embolus, I receive warfarin management from the PPMC Anticoagulation Clinic, and I consider them part of my care team. Like Dr. Herder, all care received through the PPMC ACC has been excellent and timely.

Before the appointment I had a question about the lab tests that I needed, I received a quick answer from a PA and the tests were ordered before my visit to Labcor. During my appointment with Dr Herder the nurse was kind , friendly and efficient . Dr Herder as always asked me pertinent questions and listened carefully to my concerns and gave useful suggestion about what I should do. I am so pleased and grateful for this terrific practice!

I find that Kimberly Herder md to be the best PCP that I have ever had. I'd recommend her highly but fear that she would get too busy to see me. She addresses all my health care concerns and acts on the things that need more attention. Her prompt response to a health issue helped to catch cancer in stage 1 before it had spread. I feel like she saved my life by her taking my concerns seriously. Tell Dr. Herder thank you for being the best PCP. I hope I do not over burden her with so many health Issues. She never makes me feel like a burden.

I was very happy with the efficiency of scheduling an appointment. I reached out to my provider via MyChart. I received a response a few days later to my non urgent question. In the response was a link to schedule an appointment. I used the link and was able to see Dr. Herder two days later. She was understanding and listened to my concerns as usual. She provided me with a good solution and asked me to follow up within three months. I feel that she cares about me as a patient and a person.
