About Lisa A. Seung
Lisa Seung, PA, worked as a cancer researcher before becoming a physician assistant. “I was fascinated by disease processes, but I also wanted to interact with patients and build relationships.” Lisa chose the field of internal medicine because it presents her with the chance to learn about people and fulfills her curiosity about medical conditions. “When I know the whole person, I can better help in their care,” she shares. “I’m constantly learning and always welcome that challenge.”
In her practice, Lisa emphasizes preventive care, healthy lifestyle, and working together with the patient to develop a care plan. “It’s very important for a health care provider to nurture the relationship with a patient,” Lisa says. “I value that relationship the most, and listening to my patients presents constant opportunities to learn more.”
Lisa earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Indiana University and her doctoral degree in immunology at the University of Chicago.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Lisa is married with three children. When not at work, she enjoys learning new languages, cooking, and travel. She is also active with her church and in tactical medicine training.
