About Morgan R. Cunningham
From the age of 5, Morgan knew that she wanted a career in medicine. Working as a Physician Assistant feeds her lifelong passion for helping people and her fascination with the human body. “My most important role,” she says, “is to help patients understand their bodies, their health, their medical conditions and their care.”
Morgan works collaboratively with her patients to build realistic care plans that meet their medical needs and health goals. “Witnessing positive changes in a patient’s physical or mental well-being is what I enjoy most about this work,” she says.
Morgan studied biology and psychology at Portland State University before earning a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies at Oregon Health & Science University. She also completed specialized training to prescribe medication-assisted treatment for opioid-use disorders.
Born and raised in Portland, she is a horseback rider, a dancer, a foodie, and an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy novels. She lives with a Turkish Angora cat named Sansa.
